‘OO’ BR Steam Group’s new layout 

KIRKFIELD

Since starting Kirkfield in early 2008, quite a lot of progress has been made. The goods receiving road and goods yard track and ballast has been laid. One of the main line roads has been wired up and the test locos run all the way round.

Work has started on the steam and diesel depots. On the electrical side, the wiring on the branch line terminus is almost complete.

When the layout is finished, it can be used in three different forms: It can be used just as a main line layout. It can be used as a branch line, or it can be used as a main line and branch line together.
